Alesso timeless remix of ‘Pressure’ turns 13 years old

Thirteen years ago, on this day in 2011, Alesso crafted one of his most remarkable productions to date.




Despite the saying that ‘big room will never die,’ the popularity of this sub-genre has gradually declined since around 2014/15. However, electronic music enthusiasts still nostalgically cherish the term ‘EDM,’ including the ‘golden era‘ of progressive anthems. In his remix of ‘Pressure,’ originally by Nadia Ali, Starkillers, and Alex Kenji, Alesso infused the track with mainstage energy, elevating its tempo and melody.




Back in 2011, the EDM scene was at its peak, with Swedish House Mafia releasing ‘Save The World‘ and Avicii dropping ‘Levels.’ Alesso‘s remix of ‘Pressure‘ marked a significant contribution to this era, adding his signature touch to the already iconic release. Today, we celebrate eight years since Alesso blessed the world with this unforgettable remix.




2011 was undeniably one of Alesso‘s most prolific years, with the release of nine official remixes, including hits like ‘Party Rock Anthem,’ ‘Save The World,’ and ‘Titanium.’ Now, as ‘Pressure‘ turns 13 years old, we reflect on Alesso‘s contribution to the electronic music landscape. Known for his monumental tracks like ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)‘ and his remix of OneRepublic‘s ‘If I Lose Myself,’ Alesso continues to leave a lasting impact on the EDM scene.
