Hypaton remixes David Guetta’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’

Italian trance producer Hypaton remixes the hit “I Don’t Wanna Wait” by David Guetta and OneRepublic

Cousin of Italian DJ legend Giuseppe Ottaviani, the young Hypaton has already shown his talent countless times. Despite his young age, he has had the opportunity to work with David Guetta before. Now they have reunited for a release, although this time not for a single, but for a remix of David Guetta’s recent collab with OneRepublic.

David Guetta blew up the stage at Ultra Miami 2024 with his track in collaboration with OneRepublic. Looking a little further ahead, shortly after the smash hit performance, “I Don’t Wanna Wait” was released, promising to be a truly memorable summer hit. No question, as the track samples the well-known song by Moldavian band O-Zone, “Dragostea Din Tei”, with a really clever arrangement. The song, as mentioned earlier, was joined by OneRepublic, paying tribute to the original song. Ryan Tedder, the frontman of OneRepublic, has really outdone himself with the lyrics of “I Don’t Wanna Wait”, which conveys emotions with uplifting sentiments. And now, Italian-born Hypaton, originally from the Trance genre, has rethought this large-scale collaboration.

Hypaton‘s career dates back to 2014, but his big breakthrough dates back to 2022. That’s when he made his future rave covers, and overnight he caught the attention of French DJ David Guetta and they started collaborating on “Be My Lover”. Hypaton is no stranger to remixing hit songs from the 90s, as his discography proves. Now he has produced a truly great-sounding official remix for the track “I Don’t Wanna Wait”. “At this time last year, I was still at university, and now I find myself in the studio with my brother David Guetta.”, said Hypaton about the release on Friday, 17th of May, 2024. It’s good to know, but on Spotify, there are already over 63 million streams on the original, which was also remixed by Hardwell & Olly James.
