John Summit & Sub Focus release new single ‘Go Back’ featuring Julia Church

What happens when you get two of the biggest names in dance music in John Summit and Sub Focus to collaborate on a new track, you get one of the best singles of the year so far.

Merging their worlds of house and drum & bass, Summit and Sub Focus prove that music knows no boundaries. With the help of vocalist Julia Church, you’ll find it hard to not want to hit rewind right after the song has finished playing.

’Go Back’ is an incredibly energetic track that will get your heart racing and excite any dance floor from the smallest clubs to the biggest festival main stage. Capturing a nostalgic moment, Summit, Sub Focus, and Church have created an iconic track that will be a major player for years to come.

’I’ve always loved drum and bass and knew I wanted to combine my sound with it somehow. As a fan of Sub Focus and his use of combining strong vocals with infectious melodies, similarly to my style, I knew there was potential. Being able to come together and truly combine our two styles worked out even better than we both anticipated. Seeing the crowds’ reactions to our production + Julia Church’s incredible vocals has been unreal!’ – John Summit

Sub Focus shares, “I’ve always thought mine and John’s styles were quite similar but we lived in different genres so I was excited to get the chance to work together when he was over here on tour. We came up with the idea of speeding up the tempo in the middle of the song between House and Drum n Bass inspired by a drum and bass remix of Lil Louis – French Kiss that I used to love back in the day. It’s been amazing to see crowds from around the world respond to the song and the energy uplift that this tempo change creates.”

With another perfect entry in the Summit and Sub Focus discography, it’s no denying these two are at the top of their game and are only getting better.
