Swedish House Mafia Announce Release Date for ‘Lioness’

The single comes out on June 7 featuring Swedish indietronica duo Niki & The Dove alongside Swedish House Mafia.

Lioness, the latest single by Swedish House Mafia, is finally set to release after repeated delays. During their last set at Brooklyn Mirage, the trio premiered the final edit of the track and also provided clarity on the release, stating, ‘New York, you heard the final version, now we are ready!’

Approximately one and a half months later, we now have the official release date of the track, i.e., June 7th. Fans who felt disappointed with the prolonged delay in the release can finally rejoice. From the videos of their shows circulating on the internet, Lioness feels like a melodic house track with Niki & The Dove’s voice cutting right through the mix. The track also features instruments such as the flute, driving up the emotive aspect.

Fans across the internet are eagerly waiting for more unreleased songs by Swedish House Mafia to finally hit the stores. What a perfect time to release the track with the summer season just starting out. The trio will kick off their summer tour starting this weekend at Ultra Korea, and after a break of 12 years, they will also perform at Tomorrowland this summer.
