Netflix will release Avicii documentary and last Ibiza show

The last year has seen a rise in documentaries and content regarding the life of Avicii. Now the popular streaming platform Netflix will be bringing even more to fans worldwide.

As fans worldwide continue to mourn the loss of Tim Bergling, his music, and impact continue to draw fans to his story. Initially debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival this year, Avicii-I’m Tim offered a unique look into the life of the late producer. In the film, Tim serves as the narrator, allowing fans to get a look into the whirlwind of success that he experienced since the release of his single Bromance up until his tragic suicide in 2018. Through never-before-seen footage and interviews, the time he spent with family and friends, as well as touring the world and writing his biggest hits is laid bare in this stunning documentary.

Netflix has now revealed that it will deliver the film to its streaming platform on December 31st, 2024, giving fans worldwide to experience the movie and celebrate the life of Avicii. Alongside bringing Avicii-I’m Tim to the service, the streaming platform will also share his final performance from Ushuaïa in Ibiza. The iconic set took place on August 28th, 2016, nearly two years before his passing. Not long after, the DJ announced a need to stop touring and focus on his mental health, a moment that many DJs today cite as a wake-up call for the industry overall.

Tune into Netflix on December 31st for all the Avicii content.
